Water & Juices
In addition to AFC's mission and vision, we aim to substitute the importation of food and beverages and provide healthy and nutritional options to the Liberian public as well as for export markets; the company will offer a wide variety of packaged products including beverages, edible oils, fruits, vegetables, processed snacks, traditional ready to eat Liberian Cuisines.
AFC is currently the only mechanized manufacturer of juices and flavored beverages in Liberia other than the Coca-Cola bottling plant. All packaged juices and other beverages are imported. To meet the market demand and maintain our place of being the premier producer and supplier of beverages in Liberia, we intend to expand into several separate lines within a year.
We are currently producing three sizes of bottled water and three flavors of fruit beverages: Orange, Citrus Ginger, and Ginger Beer. We will be launching our new Island Punch, Pineapple, and Mango juices as well as the herbal Moringa Ginger Tea this year.
Edible Oils
Liberians and most West Africans love their traditional red palm-oil; in fact, it is preferred over the processed and imported oils. However, there has never been any form of mechanized processing or bottling of edible traditional oils in Liberia. AFC has already begun the development of a Palm Oil line that would commence production by the middle of 2018 targeting domestic consumption as well as exports to Diaspora markets.
There are three major traditional edible oils in Liberia- Red Palm Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, and Coconut Oil (in order of preference).
Packaged Foods
AFC plans to diversify and tap into growing global demand for packaged foods. Traditional African foods are also generally increasing in popularity. Liberia has more than 20 main traditional dishes that are marketable domestically and internationally, especially in heavily populated Liberian and West African Diaspora communities.
